Has anyone used this? If so, what's your take? I've been paying for the pro version of Evernotes but now I want to move on to something different. BTW... I've been trying Paper from Dropbox and it's such a delight to write on it! (maybe I already have my answer)

I've just installed Laverna on Mac OS, but wasn't able to configure Dropbox sync. Finally I've used the app just for a few minutes maybe, there is still a lot to do in terms of UI/UX. Liked the general idea, but the app itself isn't polished enough in my opinion.

I'm using Notes.app (switched from Evernote), but still looking for something better, especially with Markdown support. Dropbox Paper is great, but for me it's more like Google Docs alternative.

Also check out [StandardNotes.org](standardnotes.org). They are privacy & security focused. I'd highly, highly recommend them.

Serious question: for MacOX & iOS users, does Laverne/StandardNotes offer any advantage over the stock Notes app?

From a quick glance at Laverna I would say not really, except that it is Open Source, offers encryption and you can import/export DBs.

Simplenote is another great alternative as well.

https://www.notion.so/ is the best. You can adapt it to use for anything.

I have replaced Evernote with Bear App for months. But this one is also really great!
