But why?
It's for nostalgic feelings :)
I thought I was going to come in and post that too, but damn does it look good.
Especially in the matte versions.
I think this could be a cool and interesting choice in certain contexts.
If you come across those contexts anytime soon - please don't hesitate to share. So some non-believers can see what it's for, and we ain't just playing around :)
Bring me an Apple Newton mockup and I'll call it a day :)
You know, I deal with clients who lack imagination so hard that I have to make sure that the phones in the mockups are the same device as they use. I had to change a mockup from a white iphone 7 to a black one sheer minutes prior to a meeting.
I really don't see a use-case for these, except for in an ironic self project.
Don't get me wrong - I love the look and feel, they're great graphics. But I'd warn against anyone using them for client presentations.
I think everyone is bound to for their own path, clients differ as well as designers. That said, even an ironic self-project is a project of somebody who wants to accomplish, and now they have an instrument to do so. However, thank you for sharing your views and experience.
Cool, I love seeing nice phone mocks like this!
However... the corner radii are too tight and not round enough! Especially along the top and bottom edges, this mock has gently curved lines where the original iPhone has straight sections and nearly circular corners, with only a small area of transition to maintain curvature continuity between straight and curved areas.
It's a subtle difference but an important one!
We were told it's important to know your past for creating your future... So there it goes - iPhone 1st generation Mockup - to kill the time and make a killer presentation while iPhone 8 isn't here yet :)
