TiL: Launching a website is making a product.
Isn’t it though? Launching a good website isn’t something everyone can do. A lot of people can create a decent website but to get traction is not an easy task. How many products do you have that reached no. 2 on ProductHunt? Cause I don’t.
It's a lot easier to get traction to something that's free and just offers content consumption. Creating a monetization strategy where people still use your product is a lot harder than launching a cool website
tldr: getting attention is everything that matters & just make products because your friends already have and you haven't.
You're missing the point.
That's one way to see it.
I guess some spend their time into music, writing, and photography (got that from your CV). I just surround myself with people that are better than me so I can push myself a bit more and create (stupid) sideprojects like this.
Also, this comment just made my day;
I am not criticising the product in any way whatsoever, I am identifying a potentially problematic narrative in the medium post.
Cool idea and beautifully designed.
Anyone know of a similar website template? I have been inspired to finally get my idea made. And no it has nothing to do with music.
...shouldn't you make one?
