Five days till the apple's next conference. What features and devices you want to see?
A hint on what they're doing with AR.
Not sure whether they usually announce hardware at WWDC but a new iMac would be cool, I'm taking MacRumors' advice and patiently waiting for the next update before buying.
- Smarter notification system for iOS
- Siri Speaker with of course better & Open Siri.
- More Pro'ness for iPad. Right now it feels like blown up iOS, Which isn't bad, but definitely, could improve
- iOS need to be optimised for longer phones. I feel they should nail down the design so it's more easier to use it with one hand
an admission the new MBP was a mistake.
I think Apple needs to do something with Siri. Yeah, you have Siri hooks for apps now, but it needs to be more involved. Something more akin to Skills for Alexa or Google's assistant. Ideally, skills shouldn't require an actual app on the phone, but something you could have an API response for, again like Alexa or the Google Assistant.
In years past, I would have liked to see Apple release some sort of prototyping software, but I don't really need that anymore since there's like 20 design tools for that these days.
Not really a designer thing, but I think tasset support for React Native would be nice. It isn't going to happen, but Apple rolling out their own React framework specifically for TVOS would be nice.
I would like to see Safari get serious about progressive web apps. The docs are a mess right now. They still don't support web notifications on mobile, crippling the whole spec. I'm not sure what the state of splash screens are, but they've been broken for me since iOS 9.
I want updates to the Mac App Store and Apple Music!
Definitely a new macbook, because I need to buy one. On top of that, I stopped expecting great things from Apple a while ago so I am not getting my hopes up for much.
just want standalone retina display. shame...
