Bitbucket New Design for User Dashboard

2 years ago from , UI Developer and Designer

Just realized Bitbucket is changing the design of user dashboard. I think left menu is a bit wide. Other than that, current one is better than the old one.

I love the new design Atlassian is adopting. Must be an hard challenge considering the huge complexity of their products

One of the most commonly used features of the interface - create branch and create pull request- are buried under the plus symbol, and I am not a fan of extra work in order to deal with common workflow tasks. These used to exist at the same navigation level as overview, which ony opinion worked much better. I would rather see those two options there than the share your thoughts section.

Having experience designing internal tools, horizontal space should be used to display data, not menus, menus on top are far far better.

Is that Lato? Not the biggest fan of that choice, it feels too curvy and cartoonish. It works better for market landing pages where more distinct and styled font choices are more appropriate. I've had to work with Lato (or similar fonts) and they seem more distracting than helpful to the experience.

Seems to be part of Atlassian's new unified design system. Looks and works really well :)

Can't you resize the left panel?
