Are Medium posts the new Tweets?
Are angles the new curves?
I clicked on your link expecting a thoughtful critique of the gradients' article that's going around, instead, it was a satirical effort to make fun of it. While I see that it was supposed to be funny, I thought it was it cruel. I don't bring this up to start a witch hunt by any means, but I come here (DN) to see different perspectives on design. Your post seems to promote bullying not necessarily healthy discussion.
I'm hoping you could expand more on your tensions with the original article.
I didn’t mean it to come across as cruel, bullying, or funny. I meant it to come across in the way it did: that this is a non-topic. It shouldn’t be up for discussion, and it isn’t a good use of designers’ time to read or write about.
I am sorry if it came across as offensive to the author, but I wholeheartedly believe that the topic is not worth expanding on.
I'm guessing this is a reference to this real, actual article that somehow got a thousand recommends despite its dumb title.
reading this ruined my week
