I was so excited to download the plugin until I realized it’s only a design project. Nevertheless, this is something that should be supported by Sketch. Thanks for sharing :)
Sketch would say... Who know what the future will bring Just joking, I don't know how to make the plugin but if I find a developer that would like to take this trip with me, I'm on :)
How would multiple side borders be handled with this UI?
It seems like we’re toggling between multiple uniform borders or 4 singular border properties. This mightn’t scale well if we wanted multiple single borders. (e.g. two left borders).
I feel like the more Sketch–like solution, which is so often about simplicity and getting out of the way, would be to enable multiple Thickness values, similar to border radius CSS shorthand.
This is absolutely right! My design solution was something more visual but, as I wrote in the article, when I was designing it Is found some restriction on adding more borders.
For me it makes more sense to have a dropdown with the border type selection when clicking the + button

Look like I should write a new article about new solutions!
Very misleading title :/
Misleading title, but would use the feature.
I want this in my life.
I don't care about the CSS, but in terms of the inner border work around: why does a style occasionally refuse to duplicate?
Sorry, can't understand, what do you mean?
When I make a style (inner border, for example) and go to duplicate that style again (right-click) (to tweak, say 1y to -1y) sometimes it will duplicate, sometimes it won't.
Ok, found it! Looks like "duplicate" works only with the original style. I attach a video: https://youtu.be/jde8IQ50l68
Ah thanks for posting. Now I know the work around to the work around.
