As a recent convert back to iOS, after being a long time Android fan since I left the 1st gen iPhone years ago, I've had my eye on Workflow for some time. Tasker on Android was amazing, so I hope Apple does something awesome with Workflow to make all our lives easier.

Curious.. how do you use automation tool? I gave Workflow a try but couldn't figure out it could make my life easier..

You may not need it at all, for some its important, others its just a nice addition. I have some workflows for working out splitting the bill and adding a tip, not vital to my life but nice to have.

I haven't used Workflow so I'm not sure if this is possible with it, but can do things like automatically text someone when you leave work. Shut the phone into silent when your phone picks up the Bluetooth of your car. Things like that.

The one task I made that I regularly use is to upload a selected file or photo (I can use this in the share sheet in any app) to my Dropbox account and copy the public share link.

One thing I like to do is use it to create a PDF out of a series of photos... like, if I took a picture of a white boarding session, I'll use Workflow to select those photos, create a PDF, then email it to my team.
