If this happened I'd drop OS X like a bad habit. iOS 7 is horrific, I don't think I could handle all the bad choices and inconstancies on all my devices.

Please no. I can not work all day in an Uber flat environment like this.

This is basically taken the look of iOS7 and recoated it OSX. To think that apple would do this is pretty misguided. Also mobile interfaces are so much more different then a desktop interface and rely on a certain level of depth that isnt as necessary on a mobile device.

Nothing personal but I genuinely dislike this kind of design "studies".

Apart from disagreeing with some of the visual decisions (the Finder window looks too cluttered for me with that specific styling of the sidebar and tabs) I don't get the need for the marketing tag lines... "Now everything adds up", "Style to match every beat" and even just some suggestive feelings like "[...] look clean and sophisticated" aren't appropriate... At some point I actually thought this was a parody about Apple's marketing.

I'm not saying a design study (or showcase?) should be all that informative and textually detailed, but I believe that if you went ahead and wrote some stuff about it - at least make it explanatory, not marketing.

Good god. Can you imagine trying to navigate complex folder structures in that finder!? I already dislike finder, this would probably push me over the edge.

Still, it is only a concept from someone with no connection in any way to Apple, so I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Honestly right after I first IOS7 I thought this is what OSX Mavericks was going to look like. Kinda disappointed that we'll have to wait until like version 10.10 to get it.

Very cool, although I don't think OS X will take design cues directly from iOS 7 just yet, it's bound to happen one way or another (https://www.icloud.com)

I made a quick mockup to see how I would've approached it: http://cl.ly/RbdN/o
