The title is a bit misleading.
With Avocode you can inspect a layer and generate the associated style (in CSS or React Native) but it does not turn PSD/Sketch into a working code.
What's the difference with Zeplin?
Its more buggy
I agree with Gracjan. I switched Avocode to Zeplin for the plain reason that Avocode was way too buggy for actual production work. Syncing designs from Sketch to Avocode was extremely unreliable (broken all the time). Tried out Zeplin and never looked back. I've been a heavy Zeplin user for ~2 years now.
I'm sorry to hear that. We've actually been improving a product a lot lately. Improving Sketch UX is actually next on our roadmap. And with the next update you won't even have to use the Sketch plugin. You'll be able to just & drop it into Avocode or import it from Dropbox.
Let me know if you want to give it a try. Completely free for 3 months. Please e-mail me at vuhoang@avocode.com
I chose Avocode over Zeplin cause it supported Photoshop and the price was a bit lower for a freelancer (1 person only).
But I don't have tested Zeplin enough to do a deeper comparison.
zeplin now also supports psd files though I think might still be in beta, but Ive been using it for the past couple of months and its pretty solid.
I have used both but Zeplin stands out with the easy exports and features. Check out the new pop out tool they have, Pop out tool, our devs love this feature.
Those layer names :scream:
