They've finally done it! An artificial intelligence has built a UI... because no way self-respecting designers working at a big company like this (with time and resources to be innovative and creative) would blatantly rip off Snapchat, Periscope, etc in a single UI.

    Big day gang! Pretty crazy.

To be fair, I already use Instagram and don't use Snapchat (really don't like their UI or aesthetic or CEO) or Periscope (and neither do my friends). This way I get to have some of those features but use them in a familiar app with a network I already have.

Yeah it isn't innovative, but it is a pleasant improvement to Instagram for me and I'm sure many others.

Just like Instagram co-opting Vine like functionality. Keep my friends, and add one small feature that isn't worth starting fresh for.

Is it just me or does live video actually make more sense on Instagram instead of Facebook to begin with?

Well, this is a reaction against Periscope or Hype. Not Snapchat.

Instagram is the new Facebook. Which begs the question. What is the new Instagram? Snapchat?

Periscope should probably now try and become an aggregator of live - allowing you to go live on Facebook, Instagram, etc. from one app.

They can try and pivot but I think we can all agree it's over for them.

FB Live wiped them out like snubbing out a candle

Are any of these popular? I've never seen anyone watching one of them after the 1 month novelty of Meerkat wore off.

I think a lot of companies can use this to their advantage with PR practices, maybe showing how the employee's work etc.
