Simple and spot on.
if you like this solution, you should try android. nougat's bundled notifications work great for this.
I just started using android for the first time this week, and it's notification center is great. I particularly like notification importance ranking system.
Hi Jim! I've been talking about this with hyperion.co on Dribbble too. Android seems to do a better job with this!
Apple really needs to rethink iOS 10 notifications. If someone hits a line break in a text it won't show you the second line in the notification. I've missed important details because of this and I've seen others do it too.
Agreed, I think the notifications in iOS 10 are a step backwards. Not only are they a bit ugly in appearance, they are also more cumbersome, often requiring more taps to dismiss / take action on. Pre-iOS 10 notifications were cleaner in appearance and simpler to work with.
Like the idea. It fits our messaging behavior of type - send - type. The current one looks like an email based one.
Although if the same person stops from writing for 7 sec or so, the next message should come in a separate notification.
great concept! how do you see alerts (vibrate, chimes) working with this?
one alert? or multiple alerts based on additional messages?
