Am I going crazy?

over 6 years ago from , Designer at Camp 4 Creative

Ok guys, I need your thoughts here. I just recently upgraded to PS CC and am really liking it for the most part, except for one thing. Here's the situation:

  1. Have a bunch of layers in photoshop. Different folders, whatever. Just multiple layers.
  2. Hide some of those babies.
  3. Click + drag with the move tool to select a box with a bunch of stuff in it.
  4. Move those guys around.

Now here's where maybe I'm crazy. In CS6 I used to do this and could select + move things around, and the hidden layers would just stay where they were, unselected. Thus, I'd just hide anything I didn't want to drag and move everything else. Now (with CC) it selects the hidden layers as well so I'm moving all sorts of things that I don't mean to.

Here are my questions: 1. It's changed since CS6, right? 2. Now that I have CC and that's (apparently) the way it is, is there any way I can disable / get around it?
