better to earn $20,000/day briefly than to never have earned $20,000/day at all.
Even better to not have invested time in money in the product itself...
Not when your burn rate is $20k a day because you think that you're in a sustainable market.
Is it just me or is the crux of this article "we couldn't deliver on our promises and our app wasn't very good in the end". I mean, yeah, that's a pretty good way to have a huge drop off in revenue...
The spike in downloads is from tech evangelists and early adopters. It's good signaling but doesn't always make for a sustainable business. You have to figure out a way to get to the early and late majority where most of your revenue and users will come from. This phenomenon is called "crossing the chasm" and many startups don't do it.
