No thank you.
Snapchat design is terrible! :(
I think it's safe to say this - It requires certain amount of education to use. - What is a story, what is the story feed, how to add friends, how to see friends. - - Most of the icons don't have labels and doesn't really strike someone in the first glance on how to use it. - Accessing Memories - All the hidden features - I didn't even know the profile picture is also a scan code for users and I can do it right from the camera.
Having said all these, - It works because the end result is amazing. Millennials understand it better than anyone.
You know that they made the interface hard to understand on purpose?
Yes, of course. But it's terrible because they are trying to grow out of their target audience (millennials)
Wait, what do you mean?
Whenever I attempt to go to 'spectacles.com' my browser seems to have a seizure.. Not sure what's going on?...
Try it in Chrome
Nobody should write "try it in XXX browser" in 2016. Whoever designed that website needs to get fired ASAP. There's the technology to make video and scrollable content work across all browsers. It's just laziness and not-give-a-fuckiness at its best.
It works in all of my browsers, so the issue is probably not the developer's apathy. But I'm glad you got that of your chest...
It's been crazy for me in chrome macOS but fine in Safari. Very weird.
Not working neither in Chrome or Safari.
Works great in Chrome, good enough in Firefox (macOS Sierra) albeit with a small bug in the spherical video:
Same for me.
Probably just some bad JavaScript.
Spectacles is a bold move by Snapchat and it seems totally aligned with Snapchat's app and target audience.
I'm curious to see how it's going to be the market adoption. If it's great in less than one year we're going to have in the market the Instagram Spectacles...
The video that doesn't have a required orientation is really the innovation here.
