I would actually pay Bohemian Coding extra money for this: when I click on a text instance, and then on the typeface panel, having the dropdown list start at the active font being used on that text instance. This drives me crazy every single day.

I had high hopes for the Multiple Point selection across multiple objects. It's nowhere near as robust as Adobe Illustrator's and is a vital part of my workflow to crank out scalable designs for different screen sizes.

The new group resizing features in Sketch are pretty solid, but still aren't as simple as selecting an entire side of a module (along with any text, icons, etc.) and simply dragging all of those anchors a few pixels right or left.

Sketch's implementation is cumbersome and lacking.

        • It takes an extra step: you must press Enter with multiple objects selected before selecting any anchor points. Illustrator has a dedicated anchor selection tool (Direct Select).
        • Dragging to select anchor points excludes text objects, symbols, etc., requiring me to select those separately and reposition them every time I resize my vector paths. What if I want my icon / text to always be 10px from the right edge? Illustrator respects the relative positioning of all anchors dragged as a group.

Wish there were two more options - Sentence-Case and Title-Case for headlines and some button texts. This is great that they've coupled it in the UI together though. Step in a great direction!

They have already been in Sketch for a while. They just improved it slightly.

No big bugs that should stop me from upgrading?

Btw. Be warned. It breaks a lot of older plugins. Half of mine are now in a deprecated folder and don't work.

I think thats common, just uninstall/remove and reinstall it fixed all my plugins

It's not that common. I've gone 4+ versions without my plugins suddenly not working. And I wouldn't communicate that it's a simple fix. Because it's not. And the first thing I did was the old uninstall and reinstall. Half of my plugins still went back into the deprecated folder. I caution people to wait a bit, and verify that plugins important to your workflow have been updated before updating Sketch. Luckily for the most part plugins are just "useful" and not necessary. Cases like this is why I avoid relying on plugins.

Wish I didn't update. Sketch is so slow now. Almost unworkable.

Hat tip to the new Sketch Image Compressor for nixing a trip through ImageOptim after each export!

This update has rendered Sketch completely unusable for me. macOS Sierra + Sketch 40 = constant CPU spikes and beach balls of death in a file that worked 100% fine in macOS Sierra + Sketch 39.1 and all previous versions of both Sketch and OS X.

Thanks, Bohemian Coding. I guess it's ping pong the rest of the week until you've fixed your software issues. Can't work at this stage.

Same here on my iMac 5K. I cannot even use my .sketch file to wok with, because it got very slow and lags all the time. very annoying.

I'm having random zoom events happen. Last instance: selected a shape after having another shape already selected and it jumped from 400% zoom to 450% zoom.

So Sketch 50 will be the last free version for pre-owning folks?
