Seriously, why does Sketch become unusable aka glacial after inserting a couple bitmaps into a mock? Do people generally not use photos in it? I'm really trying to jump ship here.
Any luck with XD?
I haven't tried it due to the fact that a lot of folks here have said it's nowhere near ready. Is that a fair assessment?
Dunno. Can you underline text yet?
(Stifling a smirk here)
While it does become a bit slower when adding a lot of really big images in, adding a couple "normal sized" generally doesn't slow it down for me. But it's nowhere near unusable...
Have you tried the "Reduce File Size" option? It should optimise the images to your artboards so in theory it should work faster.
Yes, but it doesn't recognize the bitmaps to even reduce when I've attempted it. It's really not big images either, just a few, but significant performance hits nonetheless. Unfortunately a major reason I've considered switching is due to the 5k iMac screen I'm using now, which makes Photoshop less viable.
Good article content, hate the title though.
The title is the reason I came here to comment! So good
I thought both were great
You won't believe what he did after #5.
(No, but seriously, #5 was useful.)
i tried the option+drag then hit command+D multiple times before, but it's still not working for me. anyone know why?
Are you holding option until you drop the new copy?
yup. after the copy is made and i hit command + D, the duplicate just copies above it and did not copy my action.
