Pretty neat. Love the aesthetic. Though visually, I feel that the product content does not stand out enough from the background elements. In general, it's all just very vague as to what the site is promoting.
It's certainly a nice presentation, but it's lacking in detail that would let me know what's going on. I had to click around a bit to figure out what this site was. A few extra details such as an intro statement, or maybe pricing would go a long way to quickly show visitors that they can buy these things.
As a real world comparison, this experience kind of feels like I walked up to a booth at a market and the owner sees me but doesn't say anything to me. They have nice stuff, but since they don't acknowledge me, I'm likely to just float away.
that would be my comment too. It's very pretty, but it took me a long time to realise some of the images were clickable and some were not. Consider adding the text titles to the default state of the clickable images, so I know that I can click and what to expect when I click through.
I'm not sure about the default state being the "hover" one. But I really agree that you can feel lost at first because of the density of images on the page. I may give a try and add clickable text around images.
Really appreciate the replies guys, thanks a lot.
sure - i didn't mean to suggest making that the default, rather do something like what you did on the hover state.
J'ai comme une p'tite larme de fierté.
ah toé, tu me fais plaisir là!
