Looks like you've got a nice selection. But as far as site design goes it's a little too similar to https://canopy.co/

Thanks, Canopy is awesome. We found it hard to go away from the feel they have created completely. Maybe because of the grid we are using, maybe because we both use images from Amazon. This is a side project we have been working on for fun, because we love design products and shareing it. Repick is curated by a few "expert" people and does not aim to be community driven. We always wanted to keep it clean and simple with as basic functionality as possible. We are currently thinking about what to add next and hope to distinguish us more from Canopy

Really clean looking page (although similar to Canopy as Maciej mentioned already), but it took me a while to see the X for closing the takeover signup popup, which I found really annoying and could push visitors away. The thing that I found even more annoying, and maybe it's just the way I look/bookmark stuff when I'm browsing, was that you've disabled the cmd+click/open in new window...I know that you're triggering the internal detail popups that way probably, but it really threw me off.

Sorry for the rant, but just wanted to give some feedback :)

Great feedback. Will take this into consideration in the next update. Definitely going to make that X more prominent and hope to include functionality for opening page in a new tab instead of popup. Thanks!

By the way did you find the search functionality? We wonder if people can see it or not. You can try it by typing on the keyboard or clicking in the header

Or how about not having that takeover at all? Allow me to first see what the site has to offer before pushing an account. Why would I want an account for something I have not seen before?

Overlays might get designers knickers in a bunch, but they're fantastic at converting

Maybe I wrote it bad. I don't have a problem for the popup to show once I left click it, but cmd+click (or scroll button click, or right click and "Open in new tab") should open it in a new tab in my opinion.

I do agree with Bob, the visitors want to know what the page is all about, that's why putting a takeover is a really bad UX. I believe most will be pushed away since they simply don't trust the website with their info. You're not giving them context on what the benefits of signing up will be and why you need their information.

I found the search by accident when I tapped on the keyboard, but didn't see it right away. But I guess the main feature of the page is discovery on the main page, so maybe it doesn't be thaaaat prominent also :)

Thanks again! We just updated the site and removed the signup overlay. Oh, I got what you mean now. Will defiantly try to get that into the next update.

I'm seeing some weird scrolling issues. As I scroll through the grid they seem to re-order and change positions. Each time it infinitely loads it does this.

Thanks for the report. This is a bug we have when sorting on popular. It only sorts loaded products now and as it loads in more the order gets mixed up to fit popular sorting order again. I will fix this during the weekend.
