I'm doing alright. I work @ Uber ATC.
Awesome! Development or design?
Both — Design Engineer. I spend part of my time designing visualization projects and I spend the rest of my time implementing design concepts that we get from designers that focus more on interaction and animation. Basically I design concepts that are built to actually ship.
So far I've done 3D OpenGL/Metal, Sketch, Affinity, Objective-C, Swift, Visualization, Typography, Color Palette management, MDM, Security, and hardware networking.
Red Wing Iron Rangers or Nike Roshes, depending on the weather (Scotland tends to either be nice or shit son your feet are soaked).
the iron rangers are my go-to wet season shoes
Gray New Balance 574s.
Then again, I'm pretty utilitarian.
For casual wear, I can't seem to give up Vans. I keep buying pair after pair even though they only last about a year.
Common Projects Achilles Low... Almost every day.
Keen Mary Janes ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Style:Portland Mary Janes in Pumpkin
Comfort level ++++++++
how do you get these worn in enough to not give you blisters? #struggling
Only place they rub my skin hard enough to do that is the back of my heel, and that goes away after a few weeks of walking in them. Otherwise haven't really had any issues, but I have weird feet so who knows?
Typically something in the Adidas Busenitz family, right now some gross ass vulcs that I've been skating in for a couple months. Need to get me some shoes to just wear around ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lots of Janoskis, Jordan 1s and vans
Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max L ... also one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
+1 for the Max L's - but I rock the NYC editions (http://www.nike.com/us/en_us/c/launch/2015-03/nike-sb-stefan-janoski-max-l-nyc)
I was lucky enough to get the original release of these, the none suede versions. EXTRA COMFY.
Nike ID Air Max 1 - White
Nike Air Max Ultra Moire - White/Red
Nike Roshe One - Black
Nike Roshe Daybreak - White
Nike Air Jordan 1 - Turquoise
Asics Gel Lyte III - White/Marble
^ All those on regular rotation at the moment, with a few others in storage.
Nike Air Max Tavas or Roshe... But I'm about to get some red Pumas and rock them like Shaolin Fantastic.
On casual fridays:
On days that aren't casual fridays:
I usually wear Nike.
Vans, literally every single day. They're the only pair of shoes I own, and they're very comfortable. I just buy a new pair every year in the exact same size and color. It's nice not having to ever worry about my shoes. I take the same approach with the rest of my outfit, wearing jeans and a t-shirt every single day.
Right now: - Adidas NMD R1 - Adidas Stan Smith
I'm looking for a Reebok Revenge Plus Vintage http://www.reebok.es/revenge-plus-vintage/V67896.html
$20 St. Johns Boat Shoes from JC Pennys, or flip flops
In my dreams... pun intended.
Nike Lunarglide 8's
Wolverine 1000 mile White Pine
