Google Chrome top bar update
over 4 years ago from Cihad Turhan, UI Developer and Designer
I just realized Chrome team updated the design of the top section in Beta version.
It seems dull to me. What do you guys think about it?

My beta has had this for a while. I agree that it needs a little love. You should give the incognito version a try - it's awesome.
it's harsh, i'm not feeling it.
I started using Opera for Mac since early 2015 and never stopped since. It's awesome.
cool story!
I read it again and I almost cried.
I think the chrome of the browser window goes away and I can focus on content better. So in that regard, I think that's a huge win!
Is it just me or do the bookmarks in the bookmarks bar feel really cramped now?
Yeah it's terrible – I'd like to know the reasoning behind it
Needs more work on usability.
I use Canary 54.0.2815.0 and mine doesn't look like that.
Giest mode
Personal with dark theme
I liked the certificate bar before the site address <3
Your browser looks different, why? What do you use?
Btw, how necessary to show the certificate? Maybe better hide it at all?
Looks great to me, though I haven't interacted with the actual product.
"Dull, needs love" What's the issue?
In the current version, you can see certificate icon is much vivid, autosuggestion links are green and the others are blue, tab corners are oval and there is a subtle gradient on it, bookmark folders are yellow. All are replaced to black/gray so that's what I meant by dull.
