Outrageous. This needs sharing as much as possible!
That is shameful. Zara must have deep pockets, if they like Tuesday's (and others) artwork so much, why don't they just commission her to do work for them (and pay for it)? Thieves.
It's disgusting that Zara's argument is that the designs wouldn't be recognized as her own just because they, as a huge corporation, have mass visibility. It's just wrong.
What the actual FUCK? It would be good to at least identify the designer and creative director that are doing/condoning this and shame them so that they don't continue this. Beyond lame.
Anyone remember that episode of Nathan for You where he creates a "Dumb Starbucks".
Let's petition him to do a parody of Zara.
Nathan is my hero.
This is terrible. More than likely a product of their "fast-fashion" direction which, I imagine, means they forego the appropriate, legal, means to get rights to use artwork.
In response to your MOTD (Because there are no comments on motd): I loved Cartel. Chroma was the soundtrack to my high school career.
You and me both, Daniel. Surprisingly (not surprising), a lot of people don't like that MOTD.
Sometimes the biggest companies can be the cheapest. Everything is silo'd off, it becomes more about cost control as a gauge of performance than anything else. Not that I'm trying to excuse how ridiculous it is, just highlighting the irony.
Being a big or small company is besides the point. Remember Apple vs Samsung ? It appears that design is very hard (=impossible) to defend.

They have ripped off other artists as well: shoparttheft.com
