This is just wow! Every time I see Invision bringing something new to the community I get super excited because I know it's gonna be totally awesome. You guys are killing it!
That JSON data plugin looks so good. When does this update roll out?
Hey Ian, just restart your Craft manager (cmd+q) and you should see "update" to 1.4.0 :)
Got it, thanks! Unfortunately can't use it with the api for the project I'm currently working on (there's a header that's required) but dropping a JSON file in there works beautifully.
@Tomas Any plans to add YAML support? This would be an amazing feature for those of us who build sites with Jekyll or Statamic.
This isn't an "official" answer, but I've got a Jekyll site running and just made my own JSON template. I was working on a redesign of my recipe site and wanted the images/titles of each, so now I've got this live URL where I can source those things: http://chowdown.io/recipes.json
Clark from InVision!!! But not that Clark from InVision ;)
we're multiplying
Oh, that's a much better solution. I could totally do the same thing. :) Thanks!

Every time I see an update alert for Craft I pray for Prototype... but then I realize that something even better came out of the blue! Great job guys!
Your avatar D: It's so magnificent
And your comment made me smile!
This is great! Reminds me a lot of Josh Puckett's post on Modern Design Tools, which you should read ;)
This looks really cool. There's no way to refresh items in a list is there? Say you have a symbol with some json values and you want to go in and add another field. Would be great to have a refresh button that would update the symbol with the new field. Instead of having to delete them all and redo the duplication.
Loving it! Same problems the other guys are experiencing tho. Product is great DATAwise but a few issues on the DUPLICATE part. Both with web and json the duplicate feature does not keep what is the actual object selected duplicating everything.
ANYWAYS ♥️
I contacted InVision and they said the randomness is on purpose. Seems to make it less useful though.
Is anyone else experiencing installation issues? I updated via Craft Manager and switched from the Beta version which allowed access to Prototyping to Production to give this a go. Now I neither have the new Data area available, nor the original Images area that has been rolled into Data. Ugh.
Oh snap me too! I was on Beta, updated Craft Manager, opened up Sketch and I don't see Images or Data. If I toggle Beta/Production nothing changes :(
This is great and have wanted this for ages after writing an article on it.
I checked out the video on the Craft site and tried to replicate the Spotify example. The album name works correctly but the cover art doesn't when using the Duplicate feature.
Anyone had any luck with this?
Same for me - looks like it's pulling different sizes of the album artwork for me. Maybe I've got a lot of learning to do
Yes, doesn't seem to work, no matter what I throw at it from the Spotify API
@tomas AWESOME we love everything
Some of things that are holding us up from using this right out of the gate:
This is sooo awesome, Thomas. As a feature request I'd like to have a "update" button to load new data from my JSON link.
This would be super usefull!
That's really awesome news guys! But the question is: can we expect something similar for Photoshop in the near future?
My JSON results are being placed in randomly when using the duplicate function. Am I missing something?
Edit: Actually, it seems to be related to the order that the Duplicate feature creates the items.
It creates groups 2-n above the source group in that order, but offsets some the JSON objects by -1, but others it treats properly. It's also ordering the Layer List groups weird: 2-3-4-5-1 top to bottom.
Oh, google drive integration next to dropbox would be also pretty cool!
Box too!
Onedrive too
