Ask DN: Designer's iOS / Mac Productivity Suite

What does your iOS < --- > Mac productivity suite look like? Basically, how do you replace iCloud? Calendar, ToDos / Reminders, Email, Notes (missing anything?)

I currently use Timepage, Wunderlist, Airmail (need Gmail and Outlook), & Evernote. I do most things manually (not using IFTTT, Workflow, etc)

I'm not necessarily unhappy with this, but I always like to see what others are doing

    • iA Writer for notes and todos
    • Slack for reminders and communication

    All are for both iOS and Mac.

      How about iOS email? N1 is just desktop, correct?

        Yeah, I've used a few who are no longer with us (sparrow, mailbox), but I've just settled on the stock mail app for now. Until something else comes along to uproot my cynical view of 3rd party iOS mail apps.

    I don't use any of it.

    • Microsoft Office for mail, docs, etc
    • Google Apps
    • Dropbox for cloud backup/storage

        Not really, no. I shoot an A6000 and import RAW directly into LR. If I use the phone for anything it's for messaging or whatnot on the phone, thus no real connection to Mac OS. The rare times I do push pics over, I have my Dropbox setup to pull in the shots.

    • Calendar: Fantastical (love it. Gotta try the free trial)
    • Reminders: I use the default Reminders app, but enter them either through voice (Siri) or through Fantastical (which is 100x simpler for reminder/event entry)
    • Cloud Backup: Dropbox
    • Email: Unibox Mac App (love it. But curious to try Polymail. How do you find it?)
    • To-Do: Paper + Pen
    • Notes: TextEdit (yeah, I'm behind on this one), sometimes Evernote on my phone.

    Basically the stock Calendar app (on both), Spark and Polymail for ios en osx en thats about it!
