I'd prefer bolder titles or at least de-emphasizing body text so I can see what the poll is about. Report and reply blend too much into tags imo.

In addition to voting, I also made it easy to create polls by expanding the Markdown functionality with the following format:

    () Poll option 1 () Poll option 2 () Poll option 3 () etc.

Perhaps we should have something like that here in DN!

Visually, the white space and border between the question and the first option seems odd to me. Once I selected an option I could see that these borders were really the results line in a preliminary state. Would a transparent/white border in preliminary state work just as well? That way when an option is selected the results bar could display without visual disruption to the content around it.

    Why not use the traditional

method? As currently styled the form options look like your menu links. Why not use radio buttons to indicate a mutually exclusive option? I realize once a user has selected an option, another selection cannot be made, but radio buttons seem to be a good visual affordance to me.

I'm wondering how this implementation affects usability on screen readers or similar devices. Otherwise, I think this is a nice, compact design that quickly renders. I like the bar visual indicator for a quick comparison between the options.

I look forward to seeing your next work.
