- Dumb housewife
- Studious Asian
- Successful white guy
And that’s without the awful acting, sound effects, graphics… ugh. I feel unclean.
Woman in kitchen. Classy samsung, real classy
This was probably overseen by some Korean executive. Lifestyle and character archetypes are pretty much what the idealized family unit looks like in Korea.
I can spot the work of my people.
As someone who used to work for the one of the main ad firms that Samsung uses in the US for their web work, I can verify that you are probably 100% spot on :)
This guy on Reddit seems to know what he's talking about, it would have been made in Korea by Koreans using Western actors:
That makes a lot of sense, cheers for the link. It had crossed my mind that it was made by Koreans, but I assumed that they would've had the budget to produce different versions tailored for different parts of the world.
The pacing, diction, and lack of complexity made it sound more like an ESL exercise than an advertisement.
Wow, I haven't seen a commercial that cheesy in a while. Not to mention the horrendous acting lol.
Wow. It seems like it's been written by someone without a basic grasp of the english language. If you're going to fake it, at least make it believable.
"It's always on while I do chores" was the best part IMO
wtf was that?
