I wish it were accredited. Treehouse has some amazing content, but it is not worth the $400-600 per month they are asking if your degree doesn't "count." That misses the entire point of spending money on a degree.

Absolutely, assuming you do the iOS course at $600 and finish it in the shortest amount of time (which according to them is 6 months), thats $3600 on a "degree" that you can't be sure people will accept as anything at all.

The way I interpret their message is that you don't need a degree. You need skills. And that a degree is an incredibly costly way of getting those skills, when you could get quicker and cheaper with Treehouse.

      Just my interpretation though :)

With the current higher education bubble "accredited" doesn't get you much.

Or you can use Google and spend the money you saved on a new Mac or two.

Since when did "Tech Degree" become one word?

Is it just me seeing that or did they actually drop the price to 99$/month? https://teamtreehouse.com/techdegree

I was convincing my boss to pay for it (when it was 499$) but for 99$ he'll be like: oh yeah!. A bit weird though.
