Reminds me of my 1816 by Remington Field Notes case-type thingy. That's a good thing! I'll be backing on payday!

Looks great. I had my nearly full sketchbook with me when running last week and wished I didn't have to lug around all the filled pages!

Thanks Charlie. I've actually taken quite a few pages out of the Bound one I'm using, keeps it nice and slim.

    Excellent looking notebooks, Marcus.

How much will the refill paper be? Does it depend on the style or will they all be a flat price? This heavily weighs into my decision to back. I didn't see this info on the kickstarter page.

Also, that scissor easter egg is pretty neat in the footer of kickstarter pages.

      Thanks Chris,

It's a great question and I feel stupid for not mentioning it on the Kickstarter page.

All of the papers would be the same flat price – around $1 – $2 per refill (40 Sheets | 160 pages). Keep in mind there will also be free PDF templates that you can use to print your own.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

      Thanks again.

Very cool. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll take another look when I get home later at the different reward tiers before backing. Congrats on doing your first Kickstarter – I'll def help spread the word.

This reminds me a lot of Midori Traveller's Notebook which is not a bad thing :) good luck with your Kickstarter, looks very good! (might end up backing but I have too many notebooks sitting around and I've been trying to cut back on the habit)

Indeed, one of my friends mentioned the same thing – Midori is a really cool brand.

Thank you very much – if you do decide to back, it means you can live in peace knowing it will be the last notebook you will ever buy – kick the habit.

Yes, I'm very convinced in the sense that it solves the problem of buying inserts when you can just print your own. Great job once again!

This is great! I've been thinking about making a loose sheet notebook for myself, but using binder clips to hold things together. This is so much simpler and practical than what I had in my head.

Thanks Joe, I'm glad you like it.

I often work on loose sheets of paper also and I'm sure a lot of other people do too. That's one of the reasons I decided to launch Bound Notebooks. Another benefit is that you can add and remove pages without damaging the booklet itself.

Nice work. I love the design, so simple. Sharp logo too.

I just noticed the link to Focus Labs someone posted here on DN features the identity for Udacity. Similar to yours: http://focuslabllc.com/our-work/udacity —this is a heads up, not an accusation. You might already be aware of it.

      Hey Michael

Thanks — I did see this today and I actually prefer the way they have executed the monogram. Makes me wish I'd added more asymmetry to the Bound logo to make it feel more like the letter B.

I played around with a few concepts before this one, but I really liked how the animation of folding the paper tied into the actual product.

I backed you Marcus, really nice job on this! What about a web view template too perhaps? I guess the bonus of this is that you can always print your own, but just an idea!

        Hey Dave, thanks very much.

Totally open to ideas for the page templates, I actually added a new calligraphic one this morning based off of another backers suggestion.

I think the web view could work great on the larger of the two notebooks, I'll try it out and update.

        Thanks again.
