Has anyone used Hired as a designer? I feel like it is geared more towards developers.
They did not seem to care too much for designers.
I've given it a try....absolute silence. nada. nothing. they definitely don't seem to be looking for designers at all. I was pretty excited about the whole thing, filled out everything...really went all in....nothing but crickets chirping.... maybe at some unspecified time in the future it'll happen...but not at the moment....
Sounds like a great way to build an email list...
In the bay area there seems to be fairly high demand product designers on Hired. More startups than established companies
Almost no activity for designers yet, i'm sure they are working on it. Every time i've tried it, crickets.
Wait...is this a sponsored post to someone's referral link?
I personally found my current job through Hired. This was back in early 2014. The experience was great and I didn't feel that they were geared towards just developers at all.
Sponsored post (you can always tell by the green circle that says "SPONSOR".
Doesn't show on mobile
They really need to get that fixed. Sponsored stuff on mobile looks just like regular stuff.
I know DN is based in the US so I'm not sure how that is over there, but in the EU, undisclosed sponsorship like this is illegal.
Thanks Ed! An adjustment is forthcoming so that Sponsored stories are denoted on mobile without the need to click on the story and see the "Featured:" story title.
I've received several interview opportunities via Hired, and I took three of them. All of the companies were early stage (pre and Series A) startups. Overall I've had a good experience with Hired.
Just got hired as a designer in the UK through Hired. I honestly can't recommend it enough. My 'talent advocate' was responsive throughout, and more than happy to help out with any questions I had (their interface can be a little confusing and obfuscated). I'd be more than happy to answer any questions people have about Hired, or their process: hi at tpritc dot com.
