How do I flag a story as already being posted? Is there a way? Does anyone care? Do I care? What am I doing? Where am I?

Agreed. It will only alert you when posting, and ask if you're sure you want to post it. Would be great if DN just removed that and didn't allow dupes

I did post this link a couple of days ago now. Doesn't frustrate me, but could be rectified

What happens when you post redesigned landing pages?

Say I post a link to the InVision landing page ('Site Design: InVision'), and then three months later they decide to refresh it. When someone else wants to post the new landing page, and DN doesn't allow URL duplicates, how does that work?

I'm OK with dupes if they're interesting articles. I barely check Designer News(maybe once a week, twice a month) so I frequently miss great content. For example, this is the first time I'm seeing this article.

I guess it's down to the community curators on this one. But IMO dupe content is OK as long as it's not posted the very next day or something... but over time it gives different people a chance to see the article in case they missed it the first time
