Looking to join some Slack channels. A place where you can post work and get feedback but also just a place to meet like-minded people.
Ideally Channels in - UX, UI, Industrial Design and/or App Development
Designer Hangout is having a live stream Q&A today with Andrew Holt, PM at Google and former VP of Product at Pixate
Spec have a slack which has a few channels in relating to design. Particularly #design-details and #inspect. #inspect is a place to share work on wake.io (ask for an invite in the channel) and get feedback.
Those semi-public Slack channels are a total waste of time and mostly they are dead or full of self PR BS.
I couldn't disagree more. I'm active in two public Slack communities and I've gotten a lot out of them, including clients.
You may have had bad luck with the ones you've joined, but that's what topics like this are for.

I tried searching for a great community that had a broad scope of design in their ranks and found what I think was the jackpot.
Really a fantastic group of people that is growing pretty fast.
