Digitalocean has the coolest designers, seriously. Great work. Loved the explore pages.
Yup. On point. As always. I absolutely love the logo's charging up sorta animation.

This is wonderful! I've struggled with creating a portfolio for myself because it's difficult to convey product design work with static mockups alone. I haven't had the time or patients to go through my own work and document it like you have here.
I'm feeling inspired now, so maybe I'll try to find the time to get something together :D
High five! Favourite folio in a long time :)
^_^/
High Five back atcha
Absolutely perfect. You found a great balance of typography, content, and just overall style while throwing a unique twist on the portfolio. REALLY dig this. (I also just got the Sammy stickers in the mail yesterday so I'm totally stoked about that. I think my fav is either Steampunk or X-ray Sammy - yours?).
Thanks so much Chris :) Kasia Bojanowska is the designer behind most of the Sammy stickers. My favorite one is yet to be released, named 'Pizza Sammy'. Email me for a sneak peak!
It's definitely different. And well put together.
This is great Jesse, I really like this. Think you're appealing to a good 'target' here without coming across pretentious or too 'designer-y', so congrats on that balance.
One thing, after I browsed around a little, then went back to the 'Work' page, then I clicked another project (BlueApron), I got taken to the vertical middle of that page, which was confusing and odd.
Few things bring me such joy as animals do, sadly I don't own a pet.
I feel your pain, I'm in the same boat :(
Joe, someone else reported this bug but I cannot figure out how to reproduce for the life of me! If you would be so kind, could you send a quick screen capture to jesse@jessecha.se? Thanks so much in advance :)
Same here, Jesse. Are you doing routing on the frontend, or a clean refresh? It could be that you're not scrolling to the top on every route.
Same bug encountered here as well.
This is really fantastic, Jesse. Really dig the combination of Pressura and Circular.
Cheers!
Thanks Ian :]
I really like the projects you've been involved in. Looks great Jesse!
Great stuff, Jesse!
You may want to publicly hide your /assets/
folder, in case you have "protected" work to keep protected.
Are these all static HTML files? Or you using a generator?
Thanks Matt! I use Apache to protect anything that needs a shield in front of it. They are indeed static HTML files :) I'm using Middleman to generate them.
Really nice! Reminds of of the Pantone color of the year: http://www.pantone.com/color-of-the-year-2016.
Thats so freakin awesome!!!! Web 3.0 :D
Jesse, lovely work! You make me want to be better at what I do :)
This is good, just one concern: the hover effect on your projects is horribly weird. The text turns a too light to read shade of purple, then after about half a second that gradient creeps in. Why the delay? why the colour change?
Nice work otherwise.
Thanks, what type of display are you using? Because the target here is designers, I chose certain effects that really only look good on nicer displays. There shouldn't be a delay, will you send a quick capture to the email address on the site? I'd really appreciate it :)
Love this portfolio Jesse, a perfect balance of colour and simplicity.
The only bit that did not work for me was the circular avatar. The rest of the design around the site is square and faded gradients (even the logo). The circular aspect looked slightly out of place and a bit ‘web app’. I was expecting it to follow the box theme, maybe utilising that half colour underline, or perhaps with no container around the image and some type of gradient fade, similar to the map.
Great work, thank you for sharing.
Man, I hear you on the circle avatar. I struggled with that one as everything else is quite rectilinear. But it felt right. Come to think of it, Ill try a square option today.
UPDATE: Tried the square. Doesn't feel right to my eye although it does fit better in the system. Keeping circle
This shit is tight. Gradients FTW!
This is great! So inspiring to to read good case studies
I like the Design and the creative affinity on this website!!! :) Just the gradient on the about looks not that good for me.
Thanks :) Sounds like the maps didn't load? They should blend in nicely underneath the gradient.
