If only this applied when drawing lines. I have requested this feature many times but I guess I'm the only person it bothers
The line object is pretty poorly designed. Even if you draw a perfect line on the pixel grid, the stroke is set to "center" so the line is split between two pixels.
Oh and why isn't there a way to set a width to the line? Inputting coordinates to extend a line is so unintuitive.
Primary takeaway: a very helpful button.
I edited my toolbar and use the dedicated button for it:
Is there any shortcut available for this?
You can make your own.
- Open System Preferences and go to Keyboard.
- Go to Shortcuts → App Shortcuts
- Hit the "+" button, and select Sketch as the Application.
- Put "Round to Nearest Pixel Edge" on the "Menu Title"
- Add a keyboard shortcut you're not using.
This! I have mine set to Command + R.
Select a shape, click Scale, then click OK without changing the scale. This fits the the shape to nearest pixels without altering its original dimensions i.e. deforming it.
Just tried this: great tip! Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Anyone else annoyed that they removed the possibility to nudge layers and points by 0.1px when holding Option key? The nudging is limited to full pixel now, which I find super annoying..
