came here to say this, thank you.
I think Alexa is the closest to really opening their platform. They just opened to Spotify, a direct competitor to Amazon Music.
Once you can text to Alexa from anywhere, I think it'll really alleviate some of the issues this article is mentioning.
That a limited context of use leads to a limited appeal seems self-apparent. We have a long way to go before multi-context digital assistants are dependable. Are any of the ones in the article truly dependable even in their current context of use?
