Hi all! I made this thing, so if anyone would like to know more about it and/or volley scathing remarks, please send them along -- I will be checking this all day!

For some reason I feel like you went easy on this app, why?

Hey, apparently Im not the only one who feel that you went "easy" on this one. I mean, yes they are using conversational UI to onboard and introduce their feature. The user does learn how to use features by trying on them and everything, that's cool.

But still. First, I don't understand why does this kind of app requires you to create an account before this onboarding. It is not like the app need all of your info during this conversation/discovery. There is like a one sentence to value prop before signup. (This is usually a backend problem but this app is brand new so..)

Then, I felt like the app teach you how to use command line, sweet, but I still have no clue of what this app is about. Is it a new messaging app? Should I use it with my friends/family only or with anybody like Twitter? What is this status thing? Why does people can comment on what looks like a conversation interface? Am I posting to the world or am I sending a one to one message?

I think I would have appreciated an example on the final screen of what a user would look like to beat the chicken & egg problem.

Would be curious to have your opinion on this :) !

Man I love UserOnboard <3 Also, even though I wasn't sold on Peach, the on boarding process was so smooth and enjoyable that it made me want to use it!

Love the teardown. I feel like I'm always so jaded when it comes to these new social app concepts. How is this meaningfully different than emoji/gif enabled chat (like FB and Groupme already have)?

I get that the UX is smarter and the magic words interaction is catchy. But is that all it takes to make a social app go viral?

I agree with everything you had to say. Except that now every Peach user is going to have a random gif, a bad drawing and another bit of esoteric information on their profile, purely because they had to go through the setup process.

What are the odds that users immediately go in and delete these?
