    I guess this is why they killed Flux. I really like the marking name for this feature. I've had code in Obj-c and Swift that can do this for a little over a year and I've used it in a few test products to invert my app's UI to a Dark UI when it's night time. Looking forward to seeing how this works with Apple's implementation.

      Apple killed f.lux because they distributed it badly. Xcode's signing feature is intended for developers to test their apps without needing to register for Apple's whole dev program.

      The proper way to release a sideloaded app (like f.lux) is to release the source, and have people individually sign it locally to put it on their own devices. Here's a link to GammaThingy, which predates f.lux on iOS, and is still alive and well.

      I love f.lux, but this was their mistake and the only reason they're acting like Apple should be at fault is because they don't want to open source their code. Also nothing wrong with that, but these are the tradeoffs!

      I'm really excited about this too! I assume this is why they started exposing the color APIs that flux reverse engineered for their app.

        Yeah I was being facetious about Flux. I know they used private API's, which you're always gambling with, when they submitted their bundle. I'm also excited about this; I'll probably install the betas on one of my test phones.

    I don't know if anyone has tried it yet but it seems to desaturate the screen as well as adding the yellow. The most yellow (or less blue) it goes is also way less than Flux's.

    The Night Shift option is only available on 64-bit iPhones (5s and later) :/
