With the keycombo CMD+1, CMD+2 and CMD+3 you can switch between the first, the second and the third tab in the browser. And that is great. It makes using the Chrome browser very easy and handy.
But look that CMD+9 does. Nope, not always the 9th tab. But the last one when you have a lot of them open. And that is great.
CMD+L: Address Bar
Space and Shift+Space: Page down, page up
Also use the Vimium plugin for Chrome. Best plugin ever for keyboard browsing. I've been saving a ton on my mouse clicking/tapping milage.
Also cmd + shift + t to open a previously closed tab.
For anyone who's into keyboard productivity, you should check out Vimium for Chrome. Press [F] and every link gets on a webpage keys a highlighted key combination for quick access.
I like Control+Tab a lot, just like Command+Tab for applications, but it rotates through tabs.
With Firefox and an extensions named Customizable Shortcuts, you can assign any shortcuts to these functions. My shortcuts:

To page between tabs.
Also CMD+Option+Left or Right
I also prefer this one. It is easier to handle with the fingers. All down the keyboard.

As someone with CP and with only limited use of one hand - thank you for showing me this!
I use BetterTouchTool to map those keys as 3-finger-swipe left/right gestures on my trackpad, so I just swipe through my tabs elegantly. I love it.
