How is this any different than Designer News?
Refind has two main use cases: 1. archive/bookmarks (single player), 2. discovery (multi player). I assume you refer to use case 2 with your question? There are a couple of differences, e.g., the feed is personalized in that it shows you the best links from the people (and tags) you follow – it's not one feed for all. Also, Refind is not so much about news. Here's some more about how we see it fit into today's landscape: https://refind.com/home#difference. And here's why we're building it: https://medium.com/@refind/this-is-why-we-re-building-refind-7e7229bee370, which also explains some differences.
Want to give it a try?
As a former Delicious and Ma.gnolia user, and having talked extensively with Dominik, I support his efforts to create a place to save and share the best links on the web — that are actually worth saving.
I think he needs to add a web archiving feature, but once he does that, can you really argue with his premise? No, I think not. :)
Thanks, Chris! Web archiving is on the list... not on top of it, but it's there :)
There are so many of these things now. I guess this is the new weather app/JavaScript framework fad now.
Refind is a community of founders, hackers, and designers who collect and share the best links on the web.
Please invite me on refind. https://twitter.com/divyansh1329 Thank you DesignerNews
Done!
Please invite me on refind. https://twitter.com/ahmedfat7ey Thank you DesignerNews
@MojakiRodney
Just wanted to invite you but I see you're already on Refind... How did you get in? :)
@SachaGreif I missed some of the comments... Would it make sense to enable the notifications by default?
I'd love to use this - invite me please! @situlie
Saw your comment only now, sorry. Here's your invite: https://refind.com/invites/situlie
Completly agree with your stance on the era of push, I believe that remembering meaningful content is going to be the next thing (by the law of action-reaction). I even did a project on designing a browser with focus on reading, highlighting and saving articles back when I was finishing high school. Right now I keep useful links in a Word document (for the lack of a better tool), so naturally I would love to get invited! @samuelnovak
That's great to hear! I'm very curious to hear how you like it. Here's your invite: https://refind.com/invites/samuelnovak
Intresting .. Would love an invitation @poisonshell
Saw your comment only now, sorry. I tweeted you the invite link.
Cool idea, wouldn't mind an invite :)
Are you still giving out invites to active DN users? If so, I'd love one.
I wish I would have seen this post a few days ago.
Saw your comment only now, sorry. Here's your invite: https://refind.com/invites/heyjoshturner
I would totally like an invite! @jasonmarkbeaton
Sure, thanks for your interest: https://refind.com/invites/jasonmarkbeaton

Hello Designer News! Just noticed that Refind is on DN so I'd like to explain a few things.
INVITE-ONLY Refind is invite-only. If you want an invite, post your Twitter handle in the comments or send an email to dominik@refind.com.
HOW IT WORKS Save great links that will come in handy in the future. Discover what others save. And then find everything again when you really need it – for example when you later search for this topic on Google, Refind highlights links you or your friends saved (optional).
HOW REFIND IS DIFFERENT Delicious pioneered social bookmarking in 2003. We’re taking up on where they left off. And here’s how we believe Refind fits into today’s landscape: https://refind.com/home#difference
WHY? Here’s why we’re building this: https://medium.com/@refind/this-...
It’s super early but we’re going to work on this for a very long time so we’d love to know what you think!
Dominik (Founder)
I was going to post something snarky like "Delicious called and they want their app idea back" but since you acknowledge it as a spiritual successor, I'm actually intrigued :)
Would love an invite! (@SachaGreif)
Ha! :) Delicious is definitely a spiritual successor!
I'd love to have you on board, Sacha: https://refind.com/invites/SachaGreif
Hi Dominik! It seems that the link to the medium article is broken, I think some text of the link is missing. This looks pretty cool and I'd like to try it out, my twitter is @curiousigor ;) Thanks!
Sorry, the link somehow got cut off... Here it is :) https://medium.com/@refind/this-is-why-we-re-building-refind-7e7229bee370
And I've just invited you.
Would love one! I signed up for the waitlist with my email, but my twitter is @EvanNite
