Ask DN: What is the best Project Collaboration Tool

My team of 15 remote workers are looking for an alternative to basecamp. I know basecamp works for many, but I'm hoping there is a better alternative as we approach 2016...

Here's what we need:

  • a collaboration tool for both internal and external communication
  • document synching with google docs, drive, dropbox, box...
  • commenting synched with prototyping tools such as slack, invision, proto.io...
  • calendar synching with google calendar
  • ultimately, a tool that supports these tools and brings them together in a single interface where the internal team and clients can both find docs, links, comments quickly and easily... a man can dream, right?
