Always great stuff coming out of you. You should definitely post on DN more often.
Minimal, smooth and absolutely sexy! You've found that magical balance that is so hard to achieve. You've clearly though about each interaction, from the aforementioned next case study links to the clean layout of the studies themselves, to the subtle fades on headings etc. up to and including the NDA notice where required.
I aspire to find this level of detail and cleanliness in my own work, bravo sir!
Thanks so much! It took me a lot longer than I expected but I'm really happy with how it came out
Absolutely fantastic portfolio site. I think I'm in love. However, I have some small tweaks that you may consider changing.
- I would include hover states for the nav bar links. Maybe underline them with the nice fade in order animation. But maybe the cursor changing to a pointer enough of a hint except this does not work on mobile.
- The hover state of the blog posts are very understated and it makes them not feel like links.
- The fixed header with the three sub-navigational elements take out a large proportion of the screen on mobile. You could consider implementing a fixed header for the "Henry Freel" navigation title and make the other links not fixed but still be positioned under the title. For an example have a look at the Android YouTube app.
P.S. I love the "Next case study" fly-out.
Thanks Matthew, great feedback. I definitely agree about the hover states, I'm still working through some of the finer details. Hover states will be my first move!

Review your spelling, and grammar. I noticed quite a few mistakes.
Really great stuff, man! Wonderful storytelling. I'm inspired.
