Improve Comment UX

Hi There,

I just release a new design of comment. I post it on Dribbble. What do you think about it?

Some actual feedback would probably be more helpful than that.

Mathias, I haven't signed up to your site, but from the Dribbble shot it looks good. I'm just worried a little about the usability - the text that says "Type here" looks neither like an input or an actionable element. It's faded out, so it looks totally disabled.

I like the timeline concept with the line between images! I would just be wary of making sure that inputs and actions are clear. Yes, if someone reads everything on screen they'll understand, but most people will just skim over what they see.

Making it simple and obvious would have a clear benefit in this case. Even just outlining the input would help heaps. Good luck!

For me it seems like the "type your message there" (should be "here" instead of "there") is a bit too light and makes it seem like you actually can't type anything there. The lightness puts it in an inactive state. Maybe make it the same color as the comment's text.

Other than that, it matches the design language of the site and looks good.

    This is the thing:

    The thing

Mathias, what kind of feedback are you asking for? Whether it looks nice? Whether it solves a particular problem?
