      Care to explain? Translucency makes it pretty clear that your app is still there waiting for you behind the modal. It gives you a clear sense of where you are. So when applied correctly it isn't a bad UI decision, as with everything.

        transparency, yes. blurry translucency, no. the blur actually removes context. and is a waste of resources. in almost every case, you're better off with simpler transparency. this is basically windows vista's aero ui (http://goo.gl/insZC) all over again. we're moving backwards for the sake of a trend.

        that being said, i'm sure there's great uses for this tool in sketch. just not in imitating iOS7.

    The translucency design pattern is one of my favorite design patterns on iOS 7 so, as a Sketch user, I welcome this :-)
