What do you think about new medium logo & app? They change the typefaces, logo, and its mobile app.

The old identity was a lot stronger.

I'm honestly still shocked to see the change. I believe they had Teehan+Lax do the former serif'd M, which was fantastically appropriate and made me feel like Medium was really trying to do something with long-form on the web.

Every time a redesign slips out onto the web to be critiqued, I feel like I'm always hesitant to put in my two cents simply because I don't know enough about the project. In this case, however, I just can't help but feel like it's a misstep. The mark looks amateur at best and really kills the mood of the site for me.

I'm sure it'll be fine and I'll get used to it, but they really took an A+ brand and C minus'd the shit out of it.

EDIT: So yeah, look at this work by Teehan+Lax and tell me it's not more thought-out, more appropriate, and generally nicer.

There some changes that's cool. But, they removed the side comments. I loved the side comments. I think that discussion isn't too engaged into responses. The fact of each response be a single post, flees from main discussion.
