I love this idea but I am not a fan of the site design. You are curating low volume so I'm not looking to have to scroll down to get it. I want it in my face and right there when I arrive IMHO.
A a few things I don't like: The "Scroll to see today's link" Is not that obvious. The contrast between light blue and the even lighter blue and white is really bad. The design is meh, but the first two points are a big no no, and is a bit ironic considering the "ux" name.
Exactly my point! Thanks Gabriel
Agree with the previous comments. Here's what it looks like after removing the extra padding/margin and decreasing (randomly) the huge font sizes: view img
Or you can get Five (5!) UX links a day here: http://www.theuxlist.com :)
Now I have to one up everyone and do 10 UX links a day! :P
Ironic that a website about UX has bad UX.
- hamburger on desktop
- A link a day about UX, okay wheres my link? oh, I have to scroll.
- aforementioned hamburger icon only appearing after 100vh has been scrolled, what. why?
I have to click twice for every link. Great job, really. First click to actually be shown the link. And second to actually click the link. Marvelous. Great UX.
I see you have a submit section. Let me just submit a link to this comment.
Not sure if OP is the creator, but some thoughts:
"Yesterday's link" copy should probably change after the second click since it's no longer yesterday's link.
Also, if you're going to build in keyboard navigation, why not make it a single keypress to load the next link? Right now, it takes 3 presses to get to the next link: one to scroll to the bottom, one to load the next link, and one to scroll to the next link.
