SlideShare. Are you using it? If so, how are you finding it?

Hi all.

We've started breaking some of our processes and blog posts up into presentations and hosting them on SlideShare.

After posting a few, I did some searching to see where they show up in results. Page 194, 225 (or there about), there is a massive amount of content on that site. It was somewhat disconcerting but also made me wonder how, apart from having a large social following or being featured, do presentations become popular? Granted, content is a big deal here but what is it that makes using 49 typefaces, a rainbow of colour and lots of type on fiddly imagery as a cover so appealing?

Has anyone had success on SlideShare (Success = high view count, likes, downloads, comments, general interaction and feedback)? I'd like to know your secrets and/or thoughts!

Much DN love.

    Hello Trevor,

I don't use Slideshare but I use Readymag

It's more powerful I think! You can also use custom domains

It's super easy to use and you can do from simple presentations to full websites

    Here's an example https://readymag.com/rhzm/microcars/

      Hi Samuel.

I remember seeing Readymag whilst I was studying in Uni. It seems like a great platform, it even starts you off with some decent looking templates — The only issue is that the audience on SlideShare/LinkedIn is already very well established, so it would be a shame to miss out on sharing our thoughts/processes with that world.
