Thanks to everyone at the Designer News community this weekend for voting on the Presidential Candidate Logos - over 850 votes (and counting). I'm curious what you find surprising and interesting.
Hillary's looks like a 11/9 logo. It's a good logo... for designers.
Wow, didn't think Rand Paul's logo would be in the top 3 in this poll. It screams non-committal relationships influenced by Tinder.
Woah, I'll never be able to unsee that now
Sounds like an apt logotype for an American politician then!
man, I dunno all I see is fedex :|
At least the Hillary campaign created a system. I most like it when it's applied in other ways. But yeah, impossible not to see the FedEx playbook there.
not sure where the similarities are. fedex's arrow uses negative space between letters. hillary's arrow is a bold embellishment of the H's crossbar. complete opposites, really.
No logos are allowed to use arrows, FedEx does that.
all I see is a hospital sign :-/
yeah that too
The H just looks lazy to me. If you want go for simplicity, sure, it's simple. They slapped an arrow on an H. But, it's the only brand that doesn't actually have the candidate's name referenced. At least Obama's O logo had some artistic aesthetic to it.
Dude--agreed. The H just looks generic; the arrow feels stock.
Voting for Huckabee because yellow.
Where's Deez Nuts logo?
