Chrome just updated their built-in color picker. If you just inspect an element and find the color option and click it, you can see the new picker. Looks nice.
Also have you seen the cubic-bezier picker? It's awesome.
Speaking as one who only dabbled in After Effects and came into the world on the tail end of flash...That bezier curve! I thought I understood things...now I really think I understand things...
Chrome's commitment to improving the Inspector is really great. Any time I think I might want to try Safari, I switch over, open the Inspector and say "nope nope nope."
The new Safari Inspector is a vast improvement. Especially usability wise.
Cool, thanks. I'll give it another shot.
Here's how the color picker currently looks in Canary:
i'm seeing this in the current version of chrome (44.0.2403.130)
Yeah I'm seeing the one above. And you can compare with the other one posted by Paul.
Same Color Picker on Chrome Dev.
I feel like this one wastes tons of space and isn't very well put together. All the controls just feel kinda... slapped into place without a second thought.
For those of you who just want pics.
I'm not seeing color picker, where is this magic?
Click the tiny color swatch next to the hex code and it'll open up the picker!
Oh man, that colour tool is fierce! There's a nice eye-dropper function which you can engage by clicking anywhere else in Chrome wile you have the picker open. It samples the colour (from any open window or tab) then feeds it back into the picker. Nice.
I'm using beta, I realized it a couple of weeks ago. Another news for you, they have just changed the design of ui, made interface more clean.
So for a while now, my chrome inspector just refuses to open... any ideas DN-ers?
