Absolutely amazing achievement - however 90% of the video is people falling off of it.
According to the Verge it's not very stable :)
The Lexus hover board looks more stable than the one they showcased on The Verge. The rider appears to be able to turn and go straight with the Lexus board.
Never mind. I read more into the post and it seems to be on some sort of guidance.
The board in the Verge video is the Lexus board. The pro skater says it took him 5-6 months of constantly practicing to be able to do what you see.
Evolutionary. So happy this happened in my life-time.
I hate to show you this, but it's just marketing: http://www.theverge.com/2015/8/4/9091951/lexus-hoverboard-video
Nah, the technology is at least 15 years old, part of Shanghai commuter rail is Maglev Train, same technology applied to trains and it has been running since 2002.
The guy in their video apparently needed 5-6 months of training just to not scrape the bottom. It needs refuelling every 15 minutes or so, only levitates on surface coated with magnets and Lexus has no intention of selling it. Marty McFly would be disappointed.
