If you want to upgrade now instead of waiting for the rollout, you can download the installer from Microsoft's new Windows 10 download page.
there will always be bugs. That's the nature of software. Remember OSX Yosemite didn't let lots of laptops connect to wifi?
That said this version of Windows is really benefiting from over a year of public betas so hopefully there won't be too many major issues. But to be safe, I'll probably wait a week or two before upgrading...
There are bugs and there are 2 gig patches because you have core issues with your operating system. Sure it's an upgrade.
OSX isn't better I never said that. OSX has so much tech debt/bloat that it's a well known topic that they are debating rewriting all of it when they do the tock upgrade on processors
Are you sticking with windows 8?
I use Ubuntu on a notebook, OSX on my MBP for Design and I'm stick to W7 for my desktop cpu. Windows 10 sucks in both design and privacy.
I can understand what you mean by privacy. While yes, you can turn off anything online account related, it still sucks to have to do this for an operating system, so I get that. But when it comes to design, I don't understand at all what you mean. I've been using Windows 7 since the first release candidate and I've been using Windows 10 for about 3 months now. From my experience, Windows 10 is a way better product in terms of design.
I have to agree with you Riho. The windows 10 design is fantastic!
Maybe someone can fill me in on why privacy is an issue with windows 10.
I have tons of apps and projects on win8 and I think it's not the right time to upgrade. I'm sure there will be compatibility issues and something is gonna messed up
I've also tons of apps and even outdated from <2010... Update went smoothly and nothing broke. Except some games lost config.. So I would recommend to update. W10 works faster and smoother.
Should I trust you :)

They didn't make a good start for me :'( and they gave me a very detailed (!) error message
ah :( I saw a couple hours ago that this could be solved by changing region to US. You could try, but I am not sure about further steps :)
I think it's because I'm using enterprise copy. Downloaded iso file and will try at a later time.
