Is anyone else seeing this design or another new variant? I kind of like it.

Is your phone jailbroken (Devin network)? Is this an unofficial redesign? The type both for Google and iOS (status bar) aren't Roboto and Helvetica Neue, respectively. Also the Safari icons aren't the same.

His phone appears to be jailbroken, but this is not an unofficial redesign; it's the new Google results page on mobile. Noticed it yesterday.

Yep, it's jailbroken. Legit redesign though. Strangely, Google actually uses the default system font on iOS (normally it would be Helvetica Neue, but in this case I changed my system font to Fira Sans, so Google uses that instead).

I got this the other day! I was pleasantly surprised. I only noticed because I was expecting red underlines for the search types (used to looking for the red), then I realized it was an entirely new design. I hope they keep most of it.

It does not convince me the image section being relegated to a dropdown menu. Excepting this, otherwise I like this new design.

I think Images is still second by default, but in this case “news” was in the initial query, so they put it second.

I've noticed that the image section is not always there and doesn't necessarily relate to the query containing the word "news". It's more likely that Google is trying to guess the tabs most relevant to the query, in which case they should still always include Images.
